I'm pretty sure there are tons of words to express how I feel about last night. I'll choose one:

Awesome.

The Bright And Colorful Farses of the Sky At Our Feets

Overall, a good night. This kinda thing always happens to me in Downtown Silver Spring. I start out with the small group I planned, then my friends decide to bring others. Then, as we go around we meet up with more people as they either cling on or 'visit' our group. I'm not complaining, I love it. I wish there was a place where all my friends could do that, but sadly all my friends are stretched so far apart.

On another note, recently I've been into new music. I still have my limits, mind you, but I dunno.. Its just become more appealing to me. Last night (thursday night) I was playing pool till 3am with DC 101 on for almost the entirety of the time. (my friend has the most excellent billiards table in his mom's basement) I mean, thats not uncommon cuz a lot of my friends like DC 101 (my private school friends at least), but this time was a bit weird cuz I found myself liking a lot of the music (save for the not-so-seldom playing of American Idiot or Miss Murder or whatever). Aside from the fact that DC 101 plays a lot of 90s music (which I can't get enough of), I was enjoying the newer stuff almost equally as much.

This is the kinda thing I love. I hate limiting myself. Thats why I'm not a 'jazz drummer' or a 'rock drummer' or a 'classical pianist' or whatever other limitation you can give yourself. Why limit yourself? I think its wonderful to have such a wide spectrum of music. This doesn't even have to apply exclusively to music, it can basically apply to anything.

Seacrest out.

The water is on the ceiling.

I haven't been listening to one thing recently. I've literally put all ten thousand of my songs in a huge playlist and shuffled through them for the past couple weeks. So I'm curious, what have you all been listening to?

List your top 10 (in ascending order if possible.)

I might add a list of mine later.

EDIT: Fine! I'll add my list, sam. Although I can't honestly tell you its in any real order.

1) Television
2) Pantera
3) Be Your Own Pet
4) Rancid
5) Bauhaus (this one should be like number 1 or 2 actually)
6) Tool
7) Throwing Muses
8) My Bloody Valentine
9) Clit 45
10) The Smashing Pumpkins

Surely, you jest!

Congratulations to three very special people:

Eric Merchant

Peter Tran

And Malcolm! ... Yes! Malcolm!

Yes. These three wonderful people commented on my xanga for both of my recent posts, inspiring me to get this thing started again! (Which may or may not be a good thing)

Thats right! Congratulate them, cherish them, pay them (cuz I sure as hell ain't gonna.)
